I love to socialize with friends and family. I know many cultures do, but it is definitely a priority within the Latino community. I love my Sangria ICE COLD, so I make [yellow tail] Sangria Blanco ice cubes spiked with strawberry slices a few days ahead. That way when my Sangria gets warm, I can drop the temperature back down to COLD without watering down my drink. [yellow tail] Sangria Blanco has tropical fruit flavors of pineapples. Ripe peaches gives the wine a sweet, rounded mouth feel. Fresh limes ensure a crisp, refreshing finish. To transform the already delicious [yellow tail] Sangria Blanco into my Sangria Refresco… I add sliced cucumber, sliced strawberries, and lemon slices. This boost the flavor, the strawberries pair nicely with the pineapple hints, and the cucumber gets along fine with the peach hints. Flavor explosion. Once you bring food into the equation…. think Asian food like garlic string beans and savory noodles…. or it would be paired nicely with dessert like panna cotta or chocolate mousse. Ingredients and supplies needed for Sangria Refresco:
- 2 – ice trays
- 2 – bottles [yellow tail] Sangria Blanco
- 20 – strawberries
- 1 – lemon sliced
- 1 – small hot house cucumber
- Slice 10 strawberries into thin slices and place them evenly into the cube slots of the ice trays. Then pour half a bottle of [yellow tail] Sangria Blanco into each tray and place in the freezer over night to make wine ice cubes.
- Slice remaining 10 strawberries, lemon, and cucumber and place in a pitcher.
- Pour remaining bottle of [yellow tail] into the pitcher and place in the refrigerator over night.
- Place strawberries wine ice cubes in a glass then pour chilled Sangria over the top.
